I looked around but had a hard time finding peices in the right dimensions. Our room is long and narrow and I needed a large table.
I found Colin through googling around for local artists.
He was fast to get in touch with me and enthusiastic about the project. His energy was refreshing in the midst of remodeling and dealing with a lot of trades people who are quite aloof and made me feel like a bother.
We met at his studio and chatted about the overall vision for the piece and the colors and textures involved as well as the style we were going for.
He was quick to pick up the vibe and soon had a sketch of the table.
We talked about slabs and wood grain patterns and colors and came to a quick mutual understanding of what the table would look like.
He was swamped with work but still finished the table and delivered it to our home on time and again, without making me feel like a bother.
We had an issue with the wood a few months after the table was delivered and Colin was quick to resolve the matter.
In addition to our coffee table, Colin designed and built a tv console for our newly renovated bedroom. Aside from cost and dimensions, Colin had creative license to create the piece. He had a good understanding of our style and function needs and he nailed it. We love it!
He's a true artist and professional. The world could use more Colins!
